Hyderabad ranked World’s 2nd Best Destination

Hyderabad – The city of Pearls, the city of Nawabs, the city of Hyderabadi Biryani and ‘the’ MICE capital of India, has added yet another feather to its cap. Hyderabad is now the World’s second best destination, according to National Geographic ‘Traveler’ magazine. MICE INDIA reports
Hyderabad – Globally ‘Second’ best destination
mice-india-pearlsThe first thing that resonates in your mind when you think of Hyderabad is ‘White Pearls’. The city of Pearls has now been ranked as #2 on the global list of places to see in 2015, published in the annual guide of ‘Traveler’ magazine of National Geographic.
Hyderabad is the second best place in the world that one should see in 2015, with the Presidio of San Francisco in the US ranked first. The December 2014-January 2015 issue, periodical ranked Hyderabad at second best position on the list, which included cities like Zermatt in Switzerland, National Mall in Washington D.C, Corsica, Choquequirao in Peru, Sark in Channel Islands, Koyasan in Japan, Oklahoma City, and Maramures in Romania.
“Stories of Hyderabad’s poetic past weave amid strings of programming code in this South Eastern India city, that was home to one of the richest men in the world, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last ruling nizam of Hyderabad,” the periodical stated. It goes on to talk about how Hyderabad has now become a seedbed for many global IT brands, the opulent Taj Falaknuma Palace, Irani cafes, fifth generation pearl merchants, the HITEX and the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) for MICE events, the ISB – International Business School, among many more attractions.

Hyderabad for MICE

Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC)
Not many know that Hyderabad was chosen as Asia’s BEST MICE DESTINATION – 2012. No wonder, it’s called theConvention capital of India. Hyderabad has in the recent past attracted many international MICE events, apart from large domestic MICE activities. Venues like the HITEX (one of the largest MICE exhibition and convention centres) and the HICC (country’s “Best Convention Centre”), offer world class infrastructure for highest quality of services and amenities, to MICE event organizers and visiting exhibitors and delegates. The city airport too has been adjudged as the best airport in the country. The presence of Novotel chain of hotel, managed by the ACCOR group, in close proximity, is the icing on the cake for business and MICE travelers. Topping it all, is the Hyderabad Convention and Visitors Bureau(HCVB), actively engaged in partnering, collaborating and aggressively promoting the city as the MICE destination of the country.

Surely, the #2 positioning of Hyderabad globally will add to and boost the India inbound MICE, business and leisure travel market, by leaps and bounds.
Great going Hyderabad!!!
